America's largest portrait society presents four exciting days in New York City, the art capital of the world. A distinguished faculty of some of the nation's foremost portrait artists demonstrate their techniques and share their secrets of success in today's fast-growing field of professional portrait painting.

Our daily study sessions will be held in The Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Metropolitan is of course one of the world's greatest museums, featuring an unparalleled collection of portraiture, including

Titian, Velázquez, Hals, Rembrandt, Van Dyck, Gainsborough, Reynolds, Lawrence, Sargent, Chase and countless others.

The American Society of Portrait Artists Foundation is a not-for-profit organization directed by a board of artists, offering a nationwide program of seminars and workshops. The Foundation annually presents scholarships to qualified students at major American art schools and academies, and the Society publishes a full-color quarterly magazine The Portrait Signature. Call or email and request the Festival brochure.
