2000 Portrait Arts Festival, presented by the American Society of
Portrait Artists Foundation, drew over 650 artists to The Metropolitan
Museum of Art in New York City, June 1-4, 2000. Onstage in the Museum's
Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium, four artists presented live portrait
painting demonstrations. These videos capture those demonstrations,
including each artist's commentary as he worked. The demonstrations

essentially in their entirety, with only minimal film editing. You
